Forest Kingfisher (Todiramphus macleayii)

A small bird averaging 20cm in height.A deep blue back, wings and tail, everything else is white. Top of head is darker with a broad black band through eye. Often seen hunting from over hangoing branches and powerlines. Lives in open forests usually near rivers or watering holes and mangroves on the north eastern coast of Australia.
Printing process
These images are printed on high quality photographic paper using archival inks. Then mounted by hand on textured card stock.
